Hypnobirthing

Why choose me as your Hypnobirthing teacher?

Because I’ve experienced birth and been where you are. During my first pregnancy, I was filled with anxiety about birth, something so many of us experience. I feared the worst, yet deep down, I sensed that birth didn’t have to be something to dread. That inner knowing led me to start researching birth more deeply.

At the time, my cousin was a hypnobirthing teacher, and I decided to take a course with her. Through that experience, I discovered the power of hypnobirthing, and it made a profound difference in my first birth. Since then, I’ve had two more births: a beautiful home birth with my second child, and a calm, water birth in hospital with my third.

I genuinely believe that without hypnobirthing, those experiences wouldn’t have been as smooth, empowering, or transformative as they were.

Unfortunately, many births today are becoming increasingly traumatic for both mothers and babies. I hear far too many stories of women leaving the birth space feeling disempowered and overwhelmed. It breaks my heart, because I know birth can be so much different.

  • Birth can be calm. It can feel like something sacred and powerful is flowing through you, something beyond words. Every woman, every birthing person, and every baby deserves that kind of experience.

  • Hypnobirthing isn’t just a technique; it’s a mindset shift. It’s a way to reclaim birth as a deeply supported, natural rite of passage.

We are bringing life through the womb, a sacred portal, from the unknown to the earthside. That journey should be honoured, held, and nurtured. Not rushed. Not over-medicalised.

And that’s why I teach hypnobirthing, because I know, from my own experience, how truly life-changing it can be.

So…what are you waiting for! Get in touch with me here, and we can have a free discovery call about your steps to a calm and beautiful birth!

Birth is more than a process. It’s a sacred portal. Let’s protect it.

What IS Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a childbirth preparation method.

It combines education about birth with techniques for managing fear and pain.

Focuses on relaxation and breathing.

You learn deep breathing, visualisation, relaxation and mindfulness techniques to stay calm and in control.

Mind-body approach.

It helps you understand how fear and tension can impact labour, and how to use your mind to create a more positive experience.

Evidence-based.

Studies show it can reduce stress, the need for interventions, and even shorter labour duration in some cases.

Supportive of all birth choices.

It works whether you plan a natural birth, use pain relief, or require a cesarean. The aim is a calm, informed, and empowered experience.

Partner-inclusive.

It often involves birth partners (if you have one) in preparation, helping them support you effectively during labour. Many partners feel like a spare part during labour. Hypnobirthing gives them the tools to help the birthing person feel calm.

What Hypnobirthing ISN’T?

It’s not being controlled by someone

Hypnobirthing is not about being in a trance or losing control. It is also not someone holding a pendulum in front of you! You’re fully aware and in control.

Pain-free birth guarantee

While it can reduce fear and discomfort, it doesn’t promise a completely pain-free experience for everyone. However when done right it can significantly reduce fear and pain giving you an empowering, comfortable birth which is better for you and baby.

Anti-medical

It’s not about rejecting medical care. Hypnobirthing can be used in hospitals, with doctors, midwives, and alongside medical interventions if needed.

Only for home births

It’s not just for natural or home births. It can be applied to all kinds of births, including cesareans.

New-age or mystical

Though it uses relaxation, visualisation, and breathing techniques, it’s based on psychology and physiology, not magic or mysticism.

Passive or lazy

It requires active practice and preparation. You’re learning to condition your mind and body. You’re also learning about all the physiological processes during birth which really does help. Knowledge is power!

When’s the best time to start Hypnobirthing?

Ideally, it’s best to begin your Hypnobirthing course anytime from 20 weeks onward. This gives you plenty of time to absorb the tools, practise regularly, and build confidence before birth.

That said, it’s never too early or too late. Some parents start as early as the second trimester, while others begin closer to 30–34 weeks and still find it incredibly helpful. What matters most is that you feel ready to focus on your birth and have time to practise.

Because the techniques grow stronger with repetition, starting a bit earlier can give you more time to really embody the tools, but I’ll support you fully, whenever you join.

Together, We’ll Explore…

What hypnobirthing is and why it works.

An introduction to the approach and how it can shift your mindset and experience, whether it’s your first birth or not.

The mind-body connection.

Understanding how your body responds to your thoughts and how to create a positive feedback loop during labour.

Neuroplasticity: creating a new path.

We’ll look at how the brain can be retrained to let go of fear and embrace birth with confidence.

The power of thoughts and language.

How the words you hear and speak, internally and externally, can impact your body and birth experience.

Your birthing hormone flow.

Learn what these hormones do, how to keep them flowing, and why they’re vital to a smooth, instinctive birth.

Your hypnobirthing toolkit

I’ll guide you through practical tools like breathwork, visualisations, affirmations, and anchors that you can use in pregnancy and labour. These tools can even be used beyond birth, during any stressful or fearful situation you may find yourself in (which I hope you don’t ever find yourself in this situation.)

Your birth partner’s role.

Partners are such a vital part of this journey. We’ll explore how they can be a steady, supportive presence throughout.

The stages of labour.

We’ll break down each phase so you know what to expect, what’s happening in your body, and how to work with it.

Practising the tools.

You’ll have time to try out everything we cover, so when labour comes, your tools feel like second nature. Practice is key in the class and at home.

Birthing positions.

Explore positions that help you stay active, comfortable, and in flow and alignment with your body’s natural rhythm.

The labour process.

From the first surges to welcoming your baby, we’ll walk through the whole journey step by step.

Birthing the placenta and umbilical cord care.

Learn what to expect and how to support this important final stage gently and naturally.

Making informed choices.

This is your birth. We’ll talk about how to ask questions, weigh your options, and make decisions that align with you and your baby.

Inductions & caesarean birth.

We’ll also cover these birth paths, because hypnobirthing can support you beautifully no matter how your baby is born.
